On
June 12 - 14, 2019, WUE had the pleasure of hosting the participants of the two
AACSB seminars. Our guests came to us, among others from Finland, France, Pakistan or Great Britain.
The organizer of both seminars from WUE side was the
International Cooperation Center.
The first of the seminars, which took place on
June 12, was devoted to issues related to the
Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) process. The seminar was led by
Timothy S. Mescon, Executive Vice President and Chief Officer of EMEA, AACSB International and
Chris Wert, Dean for Accreditation and Quality, Pôle Léonard de
Vinci, La Defense, France.
A large variety of problems discussed at the seminar included CIR Philosophy and Process understanding, discussion of CIR Report and presentation of peer reviev Team and Committee Outcomes and
Process.
The second, two-day AACSB seminar, which took place on
June 13-14, 2019, dealt with the
Assurance of Learning (AoL). The seminar
was led by
Anthony Devine, Senior Academic Accreditation Lead, Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University, UK and
Chris Wert, Dean for Accreditation and
Quality, Pôle Léonard de Vinci, La Defense, France.
The main topics discussed at the seminar were: AACSB AoL Standards, Learning Goals, Assessment Methods and their matching to the Curriculum.
A valuable element of both seminars was a workshop during which the participants could independently solve problems related to the topics of the seminars.
Thank you to all seminars participants for the time spent together. We were pleased to host so many wonderful, open-minded people who, with the participation of the seminars'
Facilitators, made them a place not only to exchange knowledge and experiences but also to establish not only professional contacts. We are convinced that these contacts will result in many valuable
initiatives in the future in the university education space.
