On March 22, 2023, a meeting of the Vice-Rector for Accreditation and International Cooperation, prof. Bogusława Drelich-Skulska with representatives of the Ukrainian Catholic University
was held. The main topic of the discussion was the possibility of establishing cooperation and the exchange of experience in the field of business leaders education and joint activities for
enterprises from Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Catholic University was represented by
Dr. Dmytro Sherengovsky – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalization of the Ukrainian Catholic University and
Mrs. Roksoliana Voronovska, President of the Foundation of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Poland. The Vice-Rector for Accreditation and International Cooperation,
prof. dr hab. Bogusława Drelich-Skulska and the Head of the Accreditation
and International Relations Section in International Cooperation Center,
Dr. Maria Knecht-Tarczewska
welcomed the delegation and presented our University.
During the meeting, the issues of cooperation in the field of educating future business leaders and undertaking joint initiatives for Ukrainian companies operating in Poland were discussed.
Representatives of the Ukrainian Catholic University are also interested in implementing joint didactic projects and conducting scientific research. They see different areas of cooperation in the
field of business through the Foundation of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Poland, the purpose of which is to build long-term mutual relations between the Polish and
Ukrainian nations.
The Vice-Rector for Accreditation and International Cooperation, prof. dr hab. Bogusława Drelich-Skulska presented the uniqueness of our University as a thriving academic center and a center of
modern business, which offers a wide range of support in shaping the competences of the future of students, employees and external stakeholders. As stated by the Vice-Rector, Prof. Bogusława
Drelich-Skulska: "A high level of education in various types and forms of studies, a wide range of post-graduate studies and trainings, and systemic support for graduates'
entrepreneurship is an indisputable indicator of the expert nature of our University's activity." Cooperation with the socio-economic environment and partner universities around the
world is therefore an important area of WUEB activity. Dr. Maria Knecht-Tarczewska added that "an important confirmation of the high level of education, research activity and
cooperation with the environment are the international institutional and program accreditations that the WUEB can boast of."
The meeting was summed up with the statement that the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business is open to cooperation with the Ukrainian Catholic University. Both sides
expressed hope that the meeting would initiate interesting joint projects.
The Ukrainian Catholic University was established in 1994 in Lviv as the Lviv Theological Academy and is a private university.
The university branches are located in the USA, Canada, Argentina, Italy and Great Britain. The newest unit of the university is the Foundation of the Ukrainian Catholic University established in
Wrocław in September 2022. The university has more than 2,200 students at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels in six faculties.
